from the hospital

we got the call about 4:23 this morning asking if we could be in by 5:00. we weren't quite ready for that, so we got in about 5:30. it didn't really matter, because they expected that we had orders from the Doc, but we didn't yet, so we waited a couple hours hooked up to the monitor.

here Jenn is this morning:

Jenn had a few contractions on her own, but they really started coming regularly as soon as they started "the drip" (oxytocin) around 8:30. the Doc came to visit about 9:20 and broke her water. everything seems to be progressing nicely (4cm dilated, 75% effaced, +2cm station at 9:20). the Doc says to expect baby by dinner--"not a late dinner." her contractions are about 3-5 minutes apart. here are a couple:

my (Eric) parents are catching a plane from Atl at 11:10, and hope to be here sometime near when she's born. Jenn's parents are hanging out at the hospital with us.
