My little baby girl is 2!! Can you believe it??? I can't... well, maybe when she starts acting like a 2 year old in the middle of the store. Yeah, she's two.
She went for her 2-year well visit this morning. She is 27 lbs and 35". So if you do the "double the height at 2 thing to get their grown-up height", she's going to be around 5'10". Sounds like a basketball player to me! I'll have to check the next time I am home to see how tall I was at 2. Just to see how close it really gets.
More celebrating to come!!!

Kathryn's birthday celebration #1
I would say day #1, but day #2 is laundry & cleaning and not much celebrating.
Sunday after church we had the Hazen's over for pizza & cupcakes. Kathryn just loves Noah, Russell & Heaven so it was a great afternoon.

Andrew is on a roll!
As I was changing Kathryn's diaper this morning, Andrew acted like he was finally going to roll over. So I finished with her and grabbed the camera to catch this...
Here is the second attempt. He doesn't actually get over in this one but you can see the starting process.
He has flipped over a couple of more times since this. Doesn't really like his belly. Got really mad and fell asleep once. I just like how he uses his toes to get the momentum going.

if it isn't Monday....
If my day hasn't been a total Monday, then I just need to go back to bed.
Kathryn was in bed with us by 6:15ish I think. The sun was up but Eric wasn't out of bed yet and I was honestly trying to keep my eyes closed.
Day started normal. Got up, changed one diaper, made Eric's lunch, fixed breakfast, ate, and watched a little Mickey Mouse. Andrew woke up around 7:45 had his diaper changed and then his breakfast.
I threw some clothes on because I have learned my lesson during the summer about showering before Wal-mart. Just not a good idea. Drove there and got gas first. Then the first almost accident of the day. An employee was going to pull in (so he would be facing the wrong way) into the parking spot I was going for. Thankfully he swerved and went into a space two spots down. Kathryn didn't want out of the car, she wanted to drive. I don't know when this started but it has to stop.
We do our hour long Wal-mart trip with Kathryn in the cart and Andrew strapped to me. About 15 minutes to go, Kathryn starts getting antsy. She has already downed her juice and all the goldfish. I have to pick up her prescription and the lady behind the counter takes about 10 minutes to mix it. Seriously. How many times a day do you mix an antibiotic. You should have this down by now. And no, she wasn't new. I've had her before.
I decide that I still have items that need to be dropped off at the church for VBS. But it is Monday. The office is closed. VBS starts tonight. There goes my good deed for VBS. Plus on my way to the church, which is three blocks away, if you can consider them blocks on the access road in the shopping area, I had three different cars pull out in front of me like I wasn't even there. Please, someone just hit me. I have minivan fever anyway.
Get home and unload the groceries. Let Kathryn watch more Mickey Mouse while I fix lunch. We eat lunch and then I realize that if we are going to eat dinner before 8 I need to get the pot roast in the crock pot. I have to pile up the dishes from one side into the other side because I don't think I have time to unload & reload the dishwasher. Get dinner going. Now time to clean.
Our lunch required me to use soup. I decide it must be a good idea to stick my hand down in the soup can to help wash it out. I never said I was smart. One cut and 4 bandaids later it is still bleeding, but I'll explain why in a minute.
Dishes done. Dinner going. Hand stopped bleeding. Finish watching "Toy Story 2" with Kathryn. Time for her nap. She asks, "I nap in your big bed please please". Sure, if you are going to nap, I don't care where, just nap. She lays down with no fuss. Talked to Eric on the phone and after about 20 minutes I go to check on her. Not napping. Instead she is sitting on the bed completely covered in Triple Paste diaper rash cream. And I mean head to toes. It is in her hair, her face, her arms, her legs, the sheets, the blanket, and my pillow. She is lathering herself with it as if it were sunscreen. I get her to my bathroom and strip her to find out she has a messy bottom on top of it. I get her in the shower. The water makes my hand start bleeding again. Bandaid #5. Washing Machine going. It is now 79.8 degrees in my kitchen. Blegh.
I am enjoying a Mountain Dew (oh... did I mention that she dumped my Dr. Pepper from lunch on the carpet. Yeah I got maybe 1/4 of that) and she is watching Mickey Mouse... again. And it is only 4:00. I will be soaking in the jet tub tonight.

rice rice baby Andrew
Last night we tried rice cereal with Andrew. He wasn't so sure about it. I think I got it too thick. I remembered the first time trying to give it to Kathryn and it was so runny so I tried to thicken it up a little, maybe a little too much for his first time. But he ate a few spoonfuls.

wow what a doc visit
This morning I had the pleasure of taking both kids to the doctor. Now usually if one goes, I have to take them both anyway, but... Andrew had his 4-month well baby check up and Kathryn isn't feeling so good. Not too many details, but some of Kathryn's diapers have looked more like Andrew's the past couple of days. Doc wasn't really concerned about that. There is something going around that lasts a couple of days and that is really the only symptom. What she was concerned about was the snotty nose that has been there for over a week... sinus infection. Oh joy another round of antibiotics. She did tell me that I should wait until this weekend to start them due to Kathryn's current stomach situation and hopefully she'll already be over the snotty nose and I won't have to use the prescription. Here's hoping. I'm to keep up the pedialite and bananas. Kathryn doesn't seem to mind that at all.
Andrew is 17 lbs 10 oz (95%) and 25-3/4" (75%). Those are the same curves as last time so no worries about my little chunk. In comparison, and yes I know boys are bigger, Kathryn was 15 lbs-12oz and 25-1/2". He's just a little bigger :) He's not rolling over yet, but he is getting close. He can get on his side and then either he just stays or he goes back to his back. He has found his toes and likes to chew on them. Still doesn't like a paci and he really only chews on his thumb/fingers, doesn't really suck them. I guess that's good. I'm guessing for the amount of drool that teeth aren't too far off.
Here are a few pictures from the other day.
