Kathryn's new favorite room in the house is the bathroom. I guess every child figures out the fun things in there at some point. And it is not just her bathroom, but ours also.
First she found the toilet. It is a perfect height to pull herself up. I am making sure to keep the lid down, especially in her bathroom. She likes to bang on the lid ('course she bangs on everything!). I don't think she has played with our toilet yet, but it is a little maze to get back to it. And yes, I'm keeping them cleaner than I ever have!
Her second new thing is the trash can. I may have to either hide the one in her room or get a new one with a lid. The one in ours has a lid, and she still plays with it, but can't get anything out of it. She likes it when plastic things are in the trash can. I think she learned that from Dixon.
And then doors. She really only plays with the one in our bathroom that goes to the "throne room". It sticks out in the walking path so she has learned she can move it back and forth. Seems to keep her busy.
Oh... and she discovered running water. The counter in her bathroom has this little bitty sink (it is truly child-sized). But since it is small, there is a large area to the left of the sink. She still, barely, fits on it laying down. She has discovered the running water when I am washing off her toothbrush or washing my hands while she is laying there.
Here are a couple of pictures from the last couple of days:
