For Eric's birthday we decided to take a trip to the NC Zoo. We had bought a year pass last time we went so it was going to be a cheap afternoon out. We picked a perfect day to go. It rained all morning and school had already started. I think we may have seen 20 other people there, and a lot of those were the workers. The giraffes and the zebras were in hiding so that was disappointing, but we had a great time and the afternoon weather was wonderful. We had a few rain drops on the way home, but just a nice cool breeze in the low 70s for the afternoon.
Here are a few pictures from the outing.

Daddy pointing out the elephant to Kathryn who is trying
to figure out where Mommy went

Kathryn giving Daddy a hug while watching the baboons.

We tried to get Kathryn to roar at the lions.
I can't remember if she actually did or not.

Kathryn chasing the birds in the aviary.

Kathryn enjoying her "
Rockin' Safari Ride"

This seal looks like I felt at the end of the day.
We stopped for dinner in Pinehurst (yes, the golfing Pinehurst). I think Eric enjoyed his birthday spending it with the ladies in his life.
