randomness for the week

My kids have gone through a gallon of milk in less than 48 hours & are asking for more.

Kathryn likes to point at random things with words and say to Andrew, "You see that sign?  It says you can not do that" {whatever "that" may be at the time}.  A moment ago it was the menu on the fridge saying he could not get the milk out of the door.

Andrew has flip-flop tan lines.

It never fails.  If I fix fish sticks for lunch, Andrew will be asleep before he has finished the second stick.

Kathryn said to me the other day, "Mommy, when you get smaller and I get bigger and I am driving and you do not get into your seat car when I say so, I will give you a spanking.  Because that is what Kathryns do."

"Because that is what Kathryns do" can be applied to anything... spankings, jumping off couches, crying, throwing toys, crayons on the carpet, etc.

Kathryn picked out clothes and got dressed all by herself today.  Only glitch was the panties on backwards.

Kathryn does not like her hair behind her ear.  My hair, if down, is always behind my ears.  I can't stand it in my face.  So out of habit, I push hers behind her ears if she is eating or doing something else that her hair needs to be out of her face.  She in turn pulls it right back down.

The other day, Kathryn came & got her stool so she could turn on her light.  Little did we know, until too late, that her ceiling fan was on and the light wasn't.  She put the stool on her bed and pulled the string to turn the light on.  Intuitive, but not real bright.

Kathryn will gladly tell you that she will be 3 in a couple of days.  I wonder how many free kids meals we can get before Thursday??
