On our way home from church this evening we decided to stop at Gillis Hill Farm to try their homemade ice cream. Eric tried the cookies & cream and Jennifer tried the strawberry. Both were delicious. Even Kathryn thought so...

Don't worry Nana... they use powdered eggs and not real ones. Mommy made sure to ask before deciding to get a bowl.

I think I missed something. What's the story on the eggs?
Good girl mommy! I am so glad you thought to ask, for you and just in case for her. She looks like she is enjoying her ice cream!
I am allergic to raw egg whites. I know... I'm strange. I had to ask them how they made the ice cream. A lot of homemade ice cream is made with raw eggs. There are some recipes that either don't have it or you bake it first. Mom (Nana) used to have a really good recipe that tasted like a frosty.
On a side note, they also use raw egg whites as a suspension for shots, so I haven't had a flu shot. It is also used in the MMR shots. For the last dose before college, I had to sit in the peditrians office for hours (seemed like days) to make sure I wouldn't have a reaction.
This is Jenn by the way, I realized I used Eric's login last night.
