I weighed Andrew this weekend for the fun of it... and he has passed the 20 pound mark and he's not even 6 months old yet. But don't you just want to pinch these cheeks!!!

awesome find
Saturday morning we went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast. We usually go for lunch, but decided to mix it up a little bit.
Afterward we needed batteries, (insert long rant about how I tried to do the wii fit and three of the four wiimotes had dead batteries and the wii balance board was dead also and how we had three Duracells and two rechargeables but you can't mix regular and rechargeables and I needed four for the balance board...) and K-Mart is in the same shopping area as Chick-fil-a. So we wandered around looking for batteries and maybe a plastic pool for Kathryn to play in so we didn't have to blow up the big one. So we wander...
K-mart has toys on clearance. Clearance toys are half off. Wood Rocking horse originally $80 on clearance for $39.99. Daddy pays $19.99 and has Kathryn's Christmas present in July. Whooo hooo!
Side note... Target had outside & pool toys on clearance also so Kathryn got a wiggling waterpillar... but the big pool is blown up in the backyard also. Pictures of said waterpillar & Kathryn are forthcoming.

and the movie of the week is....
... Cars!
All I heard this morning, and Granddad can second this, is "Where is Mator? I haveta go find him!" And so we are finding him... again.

5 months!
Little Andrew isn't so little anymore. He's 5 months today!! He's also 19.6 lbs and about 26.5". It is hard to keep him still lying next to the yard stick. He may actually be over 27", but lately he's a squirmy one.
Speaking of squirming... last Wednesday, Andrew figured out how to roll from his tummy onto his back. There is no stopping him now! A lot of times, you lay him down on his back and once he makes that first flip onto his stomach, there's at least two more flips coming. I have found him under the coffee table, under his swing, wrapped up in his blanket like a burrito...
He is really wanting to sit up. When you lie him down to change a diaper, he does this head lift that makes him look like he's doing crunches. There's six-pack abs under that baby fat.
I also let him in the bouncy chair for the first time this afternoon. One more large kiddie toy in the living room!

how many random things can I say
Where, oh, where to begin...
... I go to check on Kathryn during her nap, and she's not in her bed, but mine. go figure. at least she is napping.
... Andrew rolled from his stomach to his back & I missed it!!!
... Andrew is eating sweet potatoes and loving them!
... Kathryn tried to eat a carrot for breakfast until she remembered she had Cheerios.
... We bought Kathryn not one, but two pairs of pinkish shoes.
... Yes, Kathryn is 2, but no, I am not potty-training her yet. She isn't ready and the doc says it is normal. The average age for a girl to be potty-trained is 35 months. She's not even 25 yet. I'll let you know when she is.
... Kathryn had a shower this morning. We played outside and we were both so sweaty & smelling. It was just easier. She doesn't like the water running over her head.
... Mommy is addicted to The Children's Place. But I have never bought anything full price there and always have at least a 15% off coupon... today it was 20%. And I buy ahead for the next year. Andrew got a 3T shirt today because I got it for less than $4 and swim shorts for next year because they were $2.50. He has plenty of closet space.
... There is only a 7 pound difference between my 25-month-old and my 5-month-old.
... Andrew has 2.5 pounds to go and he has out grown his baby car seat. Yes, I am checking all the normal websites.
... Pixar would make a lot of money off of us if we hadn't already bought all the movies. Cars is playing now.
chillin' outside
must bring Mommy a rock
yeah, I'm here
look Mom! My head is up!
such style while cleaning!
