Kathryn's party was on Saturday, July 4th. She was surrounded by family to celebrate her first birthday. Those who partied with us included Nana & Granddad Payne, Grandma & Grandpa Waugh, Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Waugh, Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Elisha, and cousins Caleb & Esther.
We kicked the party off with a cookout (thanks Daddy for grilling the yummy food). We had hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, potato chips and cake of course! Nana made the cake with a little bit of help from me. Okay, so I dumped ingredients in when I was told to. But I did decorate the cake!
Kathryn received great presents from everyone, even from friends and family who weren't able to join us at the party. (We are writing thank you cards this weekend and hope to include a few pictures in them, so they may take a little bit longer).

It was about 3 o'clock by this point and she still hadn't had a nap. Can you tell?

After the eating cake and getting cleaned up a bit, we let the kids play in the pool in the back yard. By this point, Kathryn just wanted to sleep. She played for a little bit but it did not last long.
