Kathryn's first Christmas

Kathryn's first Christmas (so far) was spent at home and at my parents' house in Rome along with Randy & Sarah. We are doing the Waugh family Christmas at our house in a few weeks. Here are a few pictures from our house and our trip to Rome.
a picture with Santa and a reindeer.
I couldn't stomach paying the mall Santa when she isn't old enough to know what is going on. My mom made the Santa a few years ago for us.

thank you to Great Grandma Waugh for the monkey on a ball

a relief

Okay this doesn't have to do with Kathryn, but a relief to Mommy & Daddy. This morning I made my final car payment! Whoo hoo! We are now car payment free! We even paid the Tribute off a few months early! I would say the old "now is the time for everything to break" but the extended warranty is still good! I do need new tires, but considering the car is over 5 years old, has 56K miles on it, and still the original tires... I'll gladly replace them now.

Should I say now is the time to start saving for a mini-van.... well, maybe not yet.

kathryn is five months!

Wow! Can you believe it? Kathryn has already reached five months (yes, I'm a couple of days behind). Here are a few updates and a couple of pictures.

Kathryn's sleeping habits are all over the place. She's been waking up at least once, if not twice during the night. Usually wants to eat one of the times, the other time I can usually just pick her up, give her the paci, and she's back out. Now last night she feel asleep around 8:30. It is now a little after 8 AM and I've heard a few whimpers but she's still out. Maybe she is hitting a growth spurt and wanted to eat and now she's doing the sleeping/growing stage. I hope not too much because she is already in 6 months clothes and I don't have a great supply of 9 months yet!

Green Beans don't seem to be her favorite. I can't blame her... they don't smell that great. We tried carrots last night and she really liked them. But she is getting distracted by the booster seat so it makes feeding her a little difficult. I can't tell if she just likes to feel the notches or if she's got an engineering brain already and trying to figure out how to get the tray off.

These next two pictures are for my Mom. Kathryn has found her toes as I mentioned in an earlier post. And yes those are green been boogers. I usually put her in her crib to play while I get her bath ready. So these are pre-bath.

We went to Baltimore for Thanksgiving to meet our new niece Esther. For some reason I never took my camera out of the suit case. Me being camera happy and all... just doesn't make sense. Anyway I stole a few pictures from Lyn's (Grandma Waugh) camera. Here is a recent family picture taken on Thanksgiving.

Here is Grandma with the grandkids.

I think that is everything new this past month. I joined a MOPS group a few weeks ago and hoping to meet some people. Kathryn seemed to like playing (watching) the other kids in the nursery during the meeting. I try to make MOPS day our day out. We go walk around the mall afterwards and then hit the grocery store. I may have to skip the mall if the parking lot seems too crazy. I can't do crowds and Fayetteville only has one mall.

Be on the lookout for Christmas pictures soon! Our tree is up and I have a cute little outfit for our pictures... complete with Christmas tree tights!
