stain remover???

Anyone got a good stain remover??? I have tried Shout and pre-treating with Clorox 2 but there are certain stains (that happen frequently... don't make me say what they are) that I can't seem to get out of her clothes!!

wow what a week!

And this week looks to be even busier!

Kathryn had a first... that literally made me jump out of bed. It was early in the week, like Tuesday maybe?? (Yes, I know I should have written it down... but I didn't). I think Eric asked me to roll over and look at the clock (it is too far away for him to read without his glasses). I said it was 5:30... and then I jumped straight out of bed. Kathryn had been sleeping since about 10 the night before. I freaked. Panic sat in. She didn't wake up... or did she and I just didn't hear it?!?! I jump the three feet to where she is sleeping and place my hand on her chest to make sure she is still breathing. Whew! I'm not sure if he did, but I'm sure he wanted to laugh at me. He said she had been making her normal grunting/cooing noises for about thirty minutes and she was wiggling when he had gotten up a little while before. Yay! Her first time sleeping through the night... and she hasn't done it since. We are down to once a night getting up... usually around either 2 or 4. Now if I can just learn to go to sleep when she does.

Sunday we also dedicated Kathryn. I was glad we were able to squeeze it in before we left. I'm not sure if Eric & I even discussed it, but I know I wanted her dedicated before we left our current church. This church family has been praying for her and for us to be blessed with her for a while and I felt this is the place it needed to be done. I felt blessed in having friends of ours dedicate their child also even though it was a surprise. Eric's family was able to come up on short notice to share in the event.

I believe that was the only happenings of last week... let me know if told anyone anything else that may have slipped my mind.
This week is looking pretty busy. Kathryn & I walked the moving company around the house today so they could get a rough box count and go over the packing/moving procedure with us. Our small group bible study is meeting at our house on Wednesday. We (Kathryn & I) are meeting some friends for lunch one day this week. Eric & I have to finalize what we are taking with us verses letting the movers take before Monday. I am going scrapbooking Thursday night. Sunday our friends from church are having a farewell cookout. And shhhh... don't tell... but Eric has a birthday on Sunday!!! Oh and Happy 1st Anniversary to Randy & Sarah next Monday... hopefully they will celebrate with a Georgia Southern victory over 'dem dawgs!!
Anyone else got something to add to my week!!??!?!?

seven weeks and a new finding

Today marks seven weeks. Can you believe it?? I can't! She is smiling on her own and will even laugh at my funny faces and noises! I woke Eric up at around 11 last night to show him what I thought was an awesome accomplishment. He just laughed at me.

I was making a noise and then tapping my mouth (kinda like when we played cowboys and indians when we were little). She laughed so I started tapping her mouth. After about four or five taps she would make noises and then laugh. Okay so chalk it up to mom wanting her to have actually figured something out, or just say that it was coincidence since she was laughing anyway. Either way, I got a real kick out of it!

Here are a couple of pictures from this morning:

Also, while soothing her last night, Eric told me to look and this is what I saw:

a couple of pictures

(by the way... this is the third post of the day)

Kathryn out house hunting.

Sleeping in Daddy's arms.

Aunt Barb actually took this picture.

And I'm sad to say those are the only pictures we took in August so far of Kathryn. I'll try to be more camera happy in the next few days.

great aunt barb

This past weekend, Eric's aunt, Kathryn's great Aunt Barb came to visit from Texas. She was up visiting Jonathan, Elisha & Caleb and they made the trip up to visit us. Here are a couple of pictures from that visit.

(yes, Elisha is holding Kathryn)

yay! a house!

Everyone has been asking, and yes! we found a house in Fayetteville! We are trying to close on September 5th. That's three weeks from today! And there is a lot to do between now and then. Luckily we don't have to pack or worry about the actual move of our stuff.

Below is a picture of the front of the house. The house has three bedrooms (with nice size 2nd & 3rd bedrooms... like ones you can actually put furniture in. A lot of the houses we looked at had tiny spare bedrooms.) It has a very large kitchen with an eat-in area. Also a formal dining room. The family/living room is large enough for all of our furniture and the excessive tv. There is also a bonus room above the garage which is nice since the south doesn't have basements. There is a two car garage that has plenty of space for storage. The back yard is a good size and fenced in with a nice play yard jungle gym thingy. We just have to be there long enough so Kathryn gets big enough to use it!

Once we get there, I'll put up other pictures of the inside.

We still haven't sold our Delaware house. We had an offer, but we couldn't accept it. There was another showing this afternoon so we'll see if that leads anywhere. We could use prayer on selling this house.

We'll keep everyone updated on the move!

famiy pics

Last night we went and had a couple of family pictures made for her first month birthday. Here are a couple of our favorites. Yes, I know we had very talented friends that could and should have done these for us, but in the name of time saving and not having to coordinate too many schedules, we cheated and went to a large retail store. Sorry to our wonderful friends!!
